Testing the service

IPTV trials in Ireland: what a test can and cannot show you

Almost every site in this market leads with a free trial. This page explains why we talk about testing differently, what a short trial genuinely proves about your own house, and how to run a test that is actually worth something.

  • No pressure
  • Honest limitations
  • One-month term from €15

What it proves

What a short test does tell you

  • Whether the player app installs and runs on your particular device.
  • Whether the interface is something you and the rest of the house can navigate.
  • Whether the categories you care about are represented in the library.
  • Whether your television can render the guide at a usable speed.

What it does not

What a short test cannot tell you

  • How the stream behaves at nine on a wet Tuesday when the whole estate is online.
  • Whether your Wi-Fi holds up when someone starts a large download upstairs.
  • How a specific sporting fixture will look, because that depends on the day and the source.
  • Whether the service suits your household over weeks rather than minutes.

Why this matters: most refund requests in this industry are not caused by the subscription at all. They are caused by a household discovering, a week in, that its broadband or its television cannot do what was expected. A trial that avoids peak hours hides exactly that problem.

Do it properly

How to run a test that is actually worth something

Whether you test with us or with anyone else, this is the method that produces a real answer.

  1. Test on the television you will actually use

Not the newest device in the house. The one in the sitting room, in its normal position, on the connection it normally uses.

  2. Watch during peak hours

Between seven and ten in the evening, ideally on a weekday. That is when Irish networks are busiest and when problems surface.

  3. Watch one thing for twenty minutes

Channel hopping proves nothing except that channels load. Sustained viewing is what reveals stability.

  4. Note what fails and when

One channel or all of them? Start of the stream or ten minutes in? That detail is what lets anyone diagnose it properly.

Our recommendation

The one-month term is our honest answer to "can I try it?"

It costs €15, it lasts long enough to include several peak evenings and a full weekend of sport, and nothing renews at the end of it.

  • A full month covers real viewing habits rather than a curiosity test.
  • Setup help is included, so a failed test is never caused by a bad installation.
  • If you continue, we move you onto a longer term and the monthly cost falls sharply.
  • If you do not continue, it simply ends. There is no card on file to cancel.

How to ask about testing

Message us with three things: your television or streaming box, your broadband provider, and what your household mainly wants to watch. We will tell you honestly whether to proceed, and what testing we can arrange for your situation.

Trial questions

The questions this page usually raises

Do you advertise a free trial?

We do not put a trial banner on every page, because a very short test tells you far less than people expect and it is often used as a hook rather than a service. Ask us directly about testing and we will tell you what we can arrange for your device and your connection.

Why is a short trial not enough?

Because the problems that ruin IPTV appear under load. A stream that is flawless at eleven in the morning can stutter at half past eight in the evening when every house on your street is streaming. A test that does not cover peak hours has not tested anything important.

What is the alternative?

The one-month term at €15. It is deliberately priced so that testing properly does not require a big commitment, and if it works well you move to a longer term at a much lower monthly cost.

Will you tell me if my setup is unsuitable?

Yes, and we do it regularly. Turning away an order we know will end in a refund request is better business than taking it. Send us your device and broadband details and you will get a straight answer.

Test it properly

A month of real evenings beats ten minutes of curiosity

Start with the shortest term, watch during the hours you normally watch, and decide from there. That is the only test that answers the question you are actually asking.
