About

Who runs IPTV Ireland, and how we work

This market has a reputation problem, and it is largely earned. This page sets out how we operate, what we will not do, and what you can hold us to. It contains no invented awards, no fabricated customer numbers and no partnerships we do not have.

Why we exist

Built around the part everyone else skips

Selling a subscription is easy. What decides whether somebody is happy six months later is whether their television could handle it, whether their broadband held up on a wet Tuesday evening, and whether anybody answered when it did not.

That is where we put our effort. We check compatibility before taking money, we write setup instructions for the actual device in your sitting room, and the person who answers your message is the person who can fix your problem.

It makes us slower to sell than a site with an instant checkout. It also means we turn away orders we know will end badly, which is not a business model everyone in this market would recognise.

Device testing is a routine part of the week. New televisions and new player versions change behaviour more often than people expect.

How we operate

Five things we hold ourselves to

These are commitments about our own conduct, which is the only kind of promise we can actually keep.

We check before we sell

If your device or connection is going to be the problem, you hear it before you pay. We would rather lose the sale than manage the complaint.

One price, no renewal traps

You pay for a term and it ends when it ends. No stored cards, no silent renewals, no cancellation obstacle course.

We do not claim rights we do not hold

No broadcaster names, no league badges, no film posters, no logos. We describe content by category and let you ask about specifics.

Support is people, not a queue

You are not passed between departments, because there is only one. The reply comes from someone who can act on it.

What we do not publish: customer counts, uptime percentages, star ratings, award badges or testimonials we cannot evidence. If a figure appears on this site in future, it will be because it can be substantiated.

Boundaries

What we will not do

  • We will not tell you a named premium channel or competition is guaranteed to be available.
  • We will not use third-party logos or artwork to imply an association we do not have.
  • We will not sell to a household whose connection we believe cannot carry the service.
  • We will not ask for card details, PINs or identity documents through a chat message.
  • We will not ignore a rights complaint. There is a published route for making one and it is read.

A normal week

What the work actually involves

  • Daily Answering pre-sale questions Mostly compatibility. "Will this work on my TV" is the single most common message we get.
  • Daily Setting up new customers Writing device-specific instructions and staying in the conversation until the first stream plays.
  • Weekly Testing devices and player updates App updates change behaviour regularly, and our instructions have to keep up with them.
  • Ongoing Writing the guides on this site Every guide starts as a support conversation that happened often enough to be worth writing down.

Judge for yourself

Ask us something difficult before you spend anything

The quickest way to assess any provider in this market is to ask a specific question and see whether the answer is specific too.
